Fishing the North West River

Just wondering if anybody been on the NW river? Any cats biting yet?

The big blue cats have been biting down there since last winter. I haven't talked much with rod/reel fishermen, but I have spoke at length with the guys using jug lines. I witnessed them catching many fish in excess of 30 lbs. over the spring/summer/fall. I'd guess those fish aren't leaving the river any time soon.
