Went out with the wife and our new kayaks this afternoon. She wanted to paddle around but i was focused on fishin. Yesterday I went there with the intention of taking some drawdown pics and took a pole with me just for kicks. Ended up catching just one but it was 13". It fell victim to a BG ice blue baby shad on a 1/48 oz head. So I decided to go back today with minnows. Ended up with 11 keepers/6 throwbacks. All keeper fish 11" to 14 1/4" and lost one at the boat that was bigger than the one landed.Attachment 140639Attachment 140640Attachment 140641no electronics for the yak as of now, but seemed to get the bite around 6-7' in the deeper water.

I saw how low the lake was when I passed it on 64 the other day. One major advantage of a kayak, you can put it no matter how low it gets. Nice 14" crappie, it's been a while since I've caught one that big.

Nice fish, can't wait to see you spider rig off of that boat.

I drove by the ramp last week when I was working in Tona. This would be the time to take pictures. Man is the lake low!!!! Back to your report. Nice catch on the 14" fish.
