Piedmont NWR
Anyone on the muzzleloader hunt this WK 10/30-11/1.? I'll be making my 15+ yr trip this wk. Hoping for continued success. Over the past few years we have done fair. Thought I'd share a few pics from the past years an see if anyone else had any luck as well.

I grew up hunting the ONF and Piedmont, as I lived in Wayside. I have killed a heap of deer on both places in the past. I haven't hunted Piedmont in the last few years
as I got fed up with people hunting on top on you as well as just wandering through the woods looking for a deer. The Primitive weapon hunt was always my favorite,
might have to get me a couple of permits next year and give it another try.

This year the trend continues. I was able to take one to brag on an a small buck that will go unpictured. But I was the only one in our crew to have good luck this year others seen deer an passed does an seen a few bucks but no shots. An the my brother in law missed what wld have been the biggest deer he has had a chance to kill.
