Yep, that's a bad day for sure.
Have seen that a lot more than I thought it would happen . Bud light usually plays a part but not always . People get in a hurry and don't unstrap the boat .Once the boat floats the trailer on a steep ramp it will pick up the back tires and you are going swimming !:dono
Hate it for that guy, no telling what caused it. I used to get calls when I was a rescue diver for the Madison Co SO to go to a ramp and find the truck and hook a tow line to it.
He was backing his trailer in to load his boat.
I had a big Celebrity ski boat years ago that you'd have to bury the trailer in the water to load it. Never had to back in THAT far though.:Rofl

I saw something like this years ago on the lower lake. He backs the trailer down the center of the ramp then gets in the boat. His wife backs him in to launch. Stops, puts the truck in forward, releases the brake and gives it gas. Not waiting for the transmission to catch up. The ramp was closed for about 6 hours.
