How many of you have kids or grandkids that tie jigs??

Just wondering. I have two boys and two girls. Boys are 10 and 13 and have had my vice in their room for a while. I haven't tied a jig in a couple of years. They wanted to get it out and tie some a while back so I showed them how. They are pretty good at it...although one left the top off my fingernail polish so it dried out...lol. Thats kids though. lol Girls are 3...so not making jigs...:)

Was wondering if there had ever been a kids jig swap?? Maybe anyone under 16 or 18 or something like that. Even if its there first time. What better way to get a kid involved than getting them into their own jig swap. I for one would love to see one. Even if they have not tied before...help them...just let them do most of the work.

Just thought I'd see what ya'll thought and if there was any interest in it. I was in a couple a few years ago and loved it.

My kids are older now, like my youngest is 42, but I do have plenty of grand kids, but they don't live close enough for me to teach them even if they were interested.

My grandson is 6 and has been tying with me for a couple of years. None on his own yet, but still trying.

thats great dr!! I think it can be one of the most rewarding things you could do. I think many ADD kids would benefit also. They like to have their hands doing something all the time. Keeps their minds working and they see the result of patience.
