First ever visit to Cabelas!!!

Having been under the Govt Furlough, I emailed my supervisor and told her since they couldn't make up their minds about passing a continuing resolution putting us back I was going to Michigan for my grand daughters 6th birthday and while there made my first ever visit to Cabelas!!

I actually behaved but I didn't want to!!!!!!! Got a few things:

1/4 lb coils of .024 and .031 stainless steel wire

Being a newbie to tying jigs, I will ask a dumb question, what would you use the stainless steel wire for?

Doug (Fatman) makes some killer spinner baits. This is the reason for the wire :ThumbsUp

I have some of the viraty pack of Rabbit as well, just got that because it's so cheap and lots of good colors amd I figure even if I don't cut it into zonkers or crosscut, I could still use it for tails on flies or small jigs. Plus dubbing is another option for that stuff.

We are getting a cabelas built in Bristol maybe 10 minutes from my house... I can't wait... We are also getting a bass pro which will be about 5 minutes from my house both should be open in 2014... :)

the wire is used for inline spinners and beetle spin frames - way cheaper!!! Almost bought the Peak rotary but the wife said, you know christmas is coming!!LOL So I went and looked at the new Shimano reels!!!!! almost bought one but held off.

Which reel did you almost get? I've been contemplating on the shimano saros

That Cabelas is a dangerous place for me. Lots of eye candy in there. Went to the one in Baton Rouge about three years ago. Was in for over three hours and spent over four hundred dollars. Sure glad they don't have one close by :)
