Hello everyone
Just got back into fishing after 15 years. My son and I have taken the sport back up. I want him to get into crappie fishing. We live in central florida a town called Saint Cloud. The only fishing we can do is from the shore. Have no boat. Got divorced and well im having to start over.Where are these fine eating little suckers at? I have fished every spot that I can think of around here as far as shore fishing. Mostly the canals is what we are fishing in. the big canals with the spillways in them. Under the bridges shallow and deep minnows and jigs. Caught 1 crappie that I should have had mounted and a few bass and some pike bluegill but no crappie. How do you fish in canals for crappie?I mostly care about my son catching the fish more than me. Anyone have any tips?

Welcome from Mississippi. Post your questions over on the Florida board and I am sure you will get some answers. Slab has a house on a canal down there.

Thank you. I was checking the forum out and found the Fl. section. Getting late leaving in the early morning to drowned some minnows. And jig some jigs. Will post question tomorrow.
