Going to try these for fall walleye. Spey Hackle orange cut from vanes. 1/16 oz freshly poured to give chromish under effect sealed powder paint clear.
Rhinestone eyes sealed in sockets with head cement.
Punkin orange on top of back wrapped with nylon mono fine. Back of wrap colored with orange marker. Head was final coated with holographic silver.
Lastly coated with Sally Hansen clear on head and wraps.
Sound like labor intensive but not. Powder coating with air gun helps to simplify. Doing some other color schemes also.

if it don't work on the 'eyes it will work on smallies.

Nice, wish there was more light on the near side to see the head better though. Still the crappie shouldn't care, LOL!

Hays47 might want to try some in a blue and white pattern. That color combo was always a good combo for me with the Iowa walleyes. Think that the Ohio walleyes wouldn't be that much different. Think that you will do well with those. Bet they will be a very good night pattern. I wouldn't be surprised if you did catch a few nice smallies on them also.
