Sucks here in the Jackson area. I go to Florence twice a week to teach class and down that way, it's $2.97. It's still around $3.18 or so in Brandon and Ridgeland
DD you must live in Brandon by the Rez. Thats not Brandon! Gas is $2.99 on hwy 80 in old Brandon. I'm sure its a little cheaper at Kroger.
We has swapped our drugs and most grocery buying to Kroger and use their gift cards to buy elsewhere. I'll go tomorrow and get 35 gallons with .80 cents off of $2.96. They offer double points on drugs and sometimes 4 times the points on gift cards. Just got to watch their flyers.
I do a similar thing here in TN. Its good to get the reduced price when you can but I try not to spend lots money to save a little. If I was going to spend it anyway kind of thing. These days you have to look at the gas you're using to get somewhere. Lowest Gas Price near me is 3.13 gal. Seems the prices go down slowly but jump up quickly... Or is it just me.Quote:

I've seen folks here drive way out of their way to save 5 cents a gallon. So, all said and done, they saved maybe a dollar or two at the most after filling up. They never considered the gas mileage, never did the math.
Never have understood that either, filled up on my way to moms for 3.50 and saved about 7 bucks from what it is at home. Gonna cap it back off when we head home.Quote:
