Fall Brawl 2013 @ Green .... IS ON !!

It's a go, ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls ... Nov 2nd Green River Lake @ Holmes Bend Marina. Start time for fishing will be anytime after safe light/daylight ... and be back & clean your catch at 1PM. Chucky will be heating the grease by then, and we can get the fish fry rolling shortly thereafter. (start/stop times are subject to change, depending on conditions)

Use this thread to volunteer to bring the items we will need:

Crappiepappy - hushpuppies & asst tableware/bowls
Slabseeker1 - French Fries 15#
Wannabe - asst tableware
Chucky - fryers/oil & other necessary cooking items

I'll update this list as people volunteer to bring other items.

A collection will be taken up to reimburse Chucky for the $50 rental fee for the Pavilion PicNic Shelter. Shouldn't be more than a couple dollars per person, and I defy you to find ANYWHERE else where you can get a fresh Crappie meal for that price :Rofl

You are NOT required to bring ANYTHING for the fish fry, in order to participate in this event. Side dishes & necessary preparation items are strictly on a volunteer basis.

Note:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the event will be cancelled and a post stating that fact & reason will be posted on this forum no later than Oct 31st. Severe weather, flooded lake, or national emergency situation would qualify as "unforeseen circumstances" .... otherwise, IT'S ON !!

Was that your wife that made the strawberry cake for the Spring Fling ?? If so, tell her to make TWO .... one small one for the Brawl guests, and one BIG one for ME :Rofl (I'm still kicking myself for not bagging up the leftovers from that cake !! )

Pappy if you are talking about the yellow cake with fresh strawberry's and glaze on top that would be the handy work of my mom...one of my all time favorites coming up. I will be sure we have plenty to go round and put in a special clause that you get first dibs on left overs! :highfive Also put me down for some baked beans again.

Appreciate that, Ray !! I'm just glad I ate fish/fries/pups/beans BEFORE I tried the cake :Rofl ... otherwise there'd have been NONE of it left for anyone else !!!

Due to the amount of enjoyment and information I wrung out of the shindig at Ky Lake, will I still be all owed to come to the :"Fall Brawl"? I saw the end result of two days of fishing with a certain technique that I can't wait till I can get back on the water and try. If it works, I'll be dragging it up to Green. If all works well, I plan on trying out this technique on Tuesday to see if it will work on Barren. Stay tuned.:fish

com'n up you'll have a good time just like this past weekend

Pappy George and I will bring our knives. Maybe something from Cumberland Crappie to give away. And as for food lets wait see wat we need.:dono
