Fished Hillsdale Saturday morning from 7-12 and caught a ton of dinks ended up with 7 keepers and 1 catfish. Caught fish from 30 foot of water to 14 foot of water. Caught most on minnows but caught most of the nicer keepers on a red and chartruse jig. Sure wish I could have found some more keepers but seems like you got to catch 30 fish to every keeper! Overall it was a great day to be on the water and sure was fun catchin even though most were small!
WTG Buster.....that 30 to 1 ratio is the norm for Dinksdale....but those little ones keep you on your toes.
Anyone headed to Hillsdale tomorrow?
headed to Pomona it's transition time. hope the baitfish have moved to the main lake area like they were at Clinton today. Should be real good in 6 to 12 foot brush, junebug and cartruese flapjack plastic on a purple 1/16 or 1/8 oz jighead. Most of the lakes should be at this point now. Check that type of stuff at HD just look for the bait balls!!!!
Where on Clinton main lake have you seen the shad ? Last weekend they where only in the coves at 1-3 feet, too shallow to get my pontoon near them.
