How durable are these ties?

Hey . . .
As a new tier, I have been wondering just how long these jigs will last.
I have only tied 5 so far, and not had a chance to fish them (I don't get out as often as I used to).
But those of you who have tied hundreds, and fished them, and caught many buckets of fish
must surely know.

Are my jigs going to fall apart and look like a homeless person after 3 or 4 outings?
How "sturdy" should I attempt to tie? Does head cement or super-glue help in certain areas?

I only use super glue on things like rabbit strips and only under it on the thread wich i also whip finish at the point of tie in and wrap over. I only use glue I make for the finish of the jig and you can not feel where I put it, but it hold well. I have had guys catch way over 100 fish on one jig, some have said as many as 300 on one.
i do fine marabou will wear out after something like 100 plus a little. If you tie them right they will last and out do store bought by so many it will surprise you. Just use a good whip finish and make your finish and wraps tight.

i bet these rabbit strip jigs will out last the ones I talk about above.

They're as durable as you make them. I've heard people say they use cement 4 or 5 times throughout a tie. I glue two- sometimes three times (over my thread base, before I start wrapping chenille and when I tie it off). :twocents
