Gilmore tackle Company
I promised that once their website was up to post it. Their "Fuzz Bug" crappie baits are now available and in stock in 1/16th and 1/8th oz and all the colors are posted. I have fished all of their baits since 1978 and I swear by them. The ONLY topwater bass bait that I fish is their "Go Getter" which is located under the "Jumper" picture, just double click it. I use solid black, fire tiger and red/white. The red/white is an old classic that I use for topwater hybrid fishing in 6". I picked up a red/white one off the drying rack when I was there this Spring. It sure is easy to see when I am tube fishing for bass in the wee hours of morning and evening. I use the 6" for hybrids and the 3" Go Getter for bass. Many BASS tournaments have quietly been won on their topwaters, but the contestants sponsors get the credit. I know this for a fact.
You Arkansas boys need to give them a try!!

George - thanks for the update. These topwaters were my favorites many years ago. I didn't realize they were still in business. Needless to say, I've got some on order and will use them well in pursuit of the brownies. Thanks again.

you know you and I need to have a cup of coffee together soon. I have fished the Gilmore baits since 1978 when I first met Dennis at the OKC tackle show. I fish many of his baits exclusively because they work so well. We are close, life long friends and I make suggestions to him and his son, Justin, on marketing their baits. Dennis assembles many baits for other companies too. I am proud to have known him and endorse his various products because of the quality that goes into each bait. I knew his Dad, Looney, before he died many years ago. I even elk hunted with Looney and Dennis in Colorado when we were young, back in the early 80's. I killed my first elk with Dennis and Looney too. You will not find a more honest, hard working person than Dennis Gilmore. He is from the old school of doing things. When he gives his word on something then you can take it to the bank. I have fished his 1/8th oz "Tiny Spin" in white and in black since 1978 and it is my first and only spinner that I will throw in a farm pond, lake, creek or river because it will clean out the active fish. The design is such that when the bait hits a limb it just kicks to the side and comes on thru w/o hanging up. I have caught 75 or more fish on one bait before the grub has to be changed or the arm breaks because of all the punishment. Justin, the son, is following in the footsteps of his Dad and Grandad in putting out a quality bait or the bait does not go out with their name on it.
The new fuzz bug is a quality bait for crappie. I have a couple of them but have not been able to get away to fish them due to extreme demands of my environmental business. I have been pushing them to go to the Arkansas Crappie Camp and show their baits, but they do not know anyone on the Arkansas board.
