Got a snake in the boat
My son and I discovered a snake in the boat Saturday. I had loaded about 450 stakes in the boat on Friday to drive Saturday. I do not know if he was on one of the stakes when I loaded it or if he somehow got in the boat while we were on the water. We were never close to any trees or brush. I don't know what kind he is. He is about 18 inches long, almost as big around as a water hose and is brown with black spots. He is in the area where the batteries, gas tank etc are located. I can't get to him. I have seen him a few times. he is very quick. Tonight I put moth balls in that area and laid out 2 of the glue traps like you catch rats on. Hope on or the other works. Any advice is welcome!!

That would have been the last time I ever got into that boat...deathly afraid of snakes.

Sell the boat. But, I wouldn't mention the snake infestation to the buyer.

Yep, I to would have to have another boat because I would let him have that one. So scared of snakes I do not wear snakeskin boots, belts, hatbands.

I would not fish out of that boat until winter if I were you. Please send coordinates to the new stake beds so I can keep an eye on them until you are able to get back on the water. It's the least I can do :Rofl
BTW the I can tell by the snake description it is a Cotton Headed Rattle Moccasin.

You need to make a call to Ernie,,(call of the wildman),,Leave the doors to the storage area open so he will have a way to escape.the mothballs have worked for me,,Or you could teach it to bait the hooks and take fish off,,:ThumbsUp

Just reach in there and grab him. He will only bite a little.
