Navionics or LakeMaster?
I don't doubt this has been asked before, but I'm still not able to search, load images, etc, and I'd like to get an opinion. Just ordered a Humminbird 597ci HD di and I live here in central Arkansas, so I'd like to get the best map for this area. The Navionics site says to use a HotMaps Premium South, but that looks to have only about 12 to 16 lake maps for Arkansas and only one chart of the Arkansas river (and then only in Desha County). LakeMaster's website seems so counter intuitive that I can't figure out what they're recommending. Is there another option? This will be my first fishfinder in 30 years, so I'd like to start out with good charts. Also, are the Used map SD cards on ebay any good? Much cheaper, but a "pig in the poke" and I like to know what I'm buying. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Did you look at this site.

Thanks 65Pontiac! I hadn't realized that it showed so much detail. It still doesn't show anything about Lake Conway, but maybe LakeMaster doesn't either? I fish Greers Ferry sometimes and it has good coverage of that - and of the western half of the Arkansas River. Question: Is this the coverage of the Hotspots Premium Edition or some other edition?

That is the Platinum edition.

OK - it won't work with the HB 597ci HD di per the Navionics site.

Maachuu got several for sale. Might save you a buck or two and he can tell you what they got on them. Here is the link http://www.crappie.com/crappie/perso...d-another.html
