Connie davis fishing rodeo
Fishing rodeo at Camp Armstrong in memory of the first game and fish officer in the state of Mississippi . Ages 6-12 yrs. Compete for bicycles and many other nice prizes . No charge to attend . The local banks in New Albany purchase two bikes and many others donate hundreds of items given for every possible title . 70 trophies were given out . A lunch of burgers/hotdogs and cakes from Surgeries Bakery in New Albany fed folks . Pugh tackle donates 20 or so rod/reel combos and a huge amount of fishing tackle .If you live in north MS. . And have a youth 6-12 it is worth the trip . All kids get a t-shirt, trophy, and meal for just being there , not counting the other prizes given .this was the 32 yr. Of it's existence .very family oriented .
