I voted for sundays. This way I know I can make it.
Sundays for me as well
Hey I went with the crowd, so excited about this. Just nobody say the hurricane word!!! I would really perfer sooner! Sept 1-7 is peak storm season.
I'm new to the concept, what all goes on at these bashes?
Is it just a mini tourneyment orjust like a "hi I'm Danny" and your off to your own devices?
Meet at BP/famous tonys parking lot, on 460.. at 6 am $5 per person biggest three crappie takes the pot. Any Norfolk or Portsmouth owned Suffolk lake. Weigh in at noon? Same spot. Sound good ? any suggestions?
It is both a small tourney and get together. Great time to meet the guys on the board and for veteran members to meet the newbies. if You can make it, don't miss out. There will be a big one in Jan or Feb at NWR. I wish I could make this one. probably be picking corn.CF
Remember that sunrise is getting later and on the leading date of Sept. 8 is not until 6:43. Folks might find a locked gate if they leave the gas station just after 6:00. And to be honest, I can't see driving out to Suffolk to only fish until noon. Way too early for me. With a 6:43 sunrise, by the time you got your boat on the water and started fishing it would be around 7:00, then you would have to quit around 11:30 to be back to the gas station by 12:00 leaving you only 4.5 hours on the water.
Perhaps once you settle on a date you can have a poll for the start and stop times.
This time of year the weigh in will be pretty close.. Probably 3.5-4 lbs for 3 fish, unless someone snags a 2 lber, that would be cool!
I'm thinking the weigh in should be alittle later... Being travel time and launch time cutting into fishing time... Does 2 pm sound better to all? I know tap is gonna say 5 lol
I also voted for a Sunday. I would like to make this one. I also agree that noon is too early. I would vote for 1400, but later can also be fine.
