There are times when the newly flooded vegetation and treeline edges can be fantastic along with the old existing shoreline if the lake has risen enough. Gotta b some eyes in the flooded stuff at Milford surely.Quote:

The fish that are near the newly flooded vegetation will follow the bait into that vegetation. The fish that are nearer the inflow areas will follow the bait to the nutrient rich inflows. Water clarity will play a role as well. Staying with Milford, 2 years ago when it came up the fish were in the edge of the muddy water in the creeks. Just my experiences...which are more limited than many others on this board.
Nicely said PT. I should have clarified that not all flooded areas will be created equal. Those fish that have been staging out from a certain area will inhabit those shallows close by if the ingredients are correct
We caught our limit on both days this weekend. El Dorado is 2 foot high now with 7 feet total. We caught our fish in 34 FOW and also caught them in 7 FOW. Walleye are going to move for food but you will have some that stay deep and some that will roam the shallow waters.

We also found our fish pretty scattered right now, had to cover a lot of water to find them. A mix bag of most species in the lake, caught most of them in 20-30fow.
Right now I can give a much better report on mowing my swam (aka backyard). Every 5 days, rain or shine. :banghead
We fished El Dorado on Saturday morning. Caught around 15 walleye from 17" to 20" and another almost 25". Fish were caught everywhere from 10 to 25 FOW. All fish were CPR.
