Tough Sunday morning at Henderson
Went back to N Bijeaux in Henderson, what a difference two days make. Everybody was moving around and where we had caught really easy Friday, I got one bump. Stayed in same area going back and forth between deep and shallow water when I finally caught one off a floating grass and lily pad mat in the middle of Bijeaux. I worked that one mat for at least 20 minutes and picked up 3 keepers and a bunch of really small fish but at least I had a place to start. Since there weren't that many mats to work, I fished the edges of scum lines made by the current and wind... that was good enough. I think the fish were looking for a little shade, but whatever, that's where I picked 13 of my 16 fish. On the way out, I stopped by the railroad pilings and picked up the last 3...All the fish hit 1/32 hair jigs, silver and gray, under a cork...Some days you have to really work for a few fish, Sunday was one of those days...The fish are all cleaned now and ready to be fried, maybe Sunday was not so tough after all....BCAttachment 133340Attachment 133341
