Electric knives for fileting

I purchased a rapala electric knife this weekend for 40.00. I had looked kitchen models which were much cheaper but very wide blades. I figured that the smaller width of the rapala would help with the turn towards the tale.

It did great and I finished 30 crappie in less than thirty minutes with little waste. Now I'm thinking about picking up one that is cordless for when we are at a cleaning station with no plugin.

Are the cordless models any good, if so which ones are the best ?

ALTHO i used a regular fillet knife i think i saw electrical outlets at the cleaning station at sardis lower lake.

I called the Sardis COE this morning, you are right according to the ranger. They made progress at Teckville. The plumbing was roughed in and it looked like electrical conduit also there.

I had read on another thread that Clear Creek had a cleaning station. We went west on 310 looking for the sign but some how missed it. Ended up taking the long way back to OB and still needing to clean fish.

Anybody know if clear creek cleaning station have electric plugs !

I have a Rapala cordless fillet knife and it works great. The knife kit comes with two sets of blades, two Lithium batteries and a charger. I have filleted over 50 Crappie on one battery.

U are no where near clear creek if u are on 310. Go to the lower lake

Cleaning station on the south side of lake is at Patts bluff. You have to go to Oxford to get to clear creek. Don't know if there is a cleaning station there or not. New stations at Engineer point and Tekville are roughed in awaiting concrete.

Heck, no wonder I missed the sign. Saw hays crossing 5 miles to the left but was not going 10 miles to find out if they had a cleaning station.

It sure is fun and sometimes a little embarassing figuring out new places and endevours. :confused:

Not much at Hayes. No ramp even. A few homes.
