Question about building a Catfish Rod

My brother is a avid cat fisherman. he sets lines Hand fishes And fishes with a pole. He catches cats from a few pounds to 70 lbs and maybe more. I am wanting to build him a Good Cat-fishing rod. I thing fiberglass would be the way to go instead of graphite. what I need to find out is how long, and any other facts to build him a Awesome rod. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Depends how he fishes bank , boat or casting

He mostly bank fishes and uses a casting reel

In-Fisherman's annual catfish guide is on newsstands now. They always have one or two articles on the latest rods and reels. I'd pick up a copy to see what's hot and make a rod using those specs.
