Also I just bought one of those little plastic fish boats you see in lake conway a lot. I'm was wanting some ideas on how y'all rig them. And if anyone has a trolling motor for sale?
One piece of advice I will give you about your boat. Construct some kind of rudder for the back end. They are bad about spinning around when your pulling from the front and cut the motor off. Very aggravating to say the least. When I had one I took a old nonworking trolling motor, removed motor, split shaft up about a ft, found a piece of aluminum about 8 in by 12 in. I inserted the 8 in side in slot, drilled a couple of holes and bolted it in place. Remove the tilt lock, adjust height to just below bottom, center and clamping place. I stretched a bungee cord across back of boat to hold in place, that way if you hit something it can pop up with out getting hung. You can look under the kyak forum for all kinds of rigging tips you could use on your plastic boat.
