fried corn on the cob
Has anyone ever tried frying corn on the cob while frying fish? I know somebody that used to do this years ago.. I once asked him what was his trick and he said don't schuck the ear but drop the ear of corn in the oil for about 3 minutes and it's ready. I have heard you must schuck the corn before you fry it. Has anybody tried this?

Yes
We use to do it, the guy that did it has passed away but if I rember right you shuck the corn and put it in some kind of batter and then fry it. Man was it good!:D

I've never brought myself to trying it, but I know that my husband loves it. They sell it here at the state fair. It's breaded and fried on the cob..shucked before fried.

I do this ever so often with frozen corn on the cob. Let it set on the counter while you fry the fish. I do not bread mine, just straight in the oil. Although a good beer batter sounds pretty tasty.

One of those chain restaurants around here used to have it. Man that was some good stuff. It was battered and fried just like onion rings. D@mn. Now I gotta go home and figure out how to fry some corn! I'm hungry! :D

The Quick Marts around here that sell Chester Chicken have it. They batter it with the same batter they use on their chicken.

Fried Corn on the cob
I use the frozen short ears. Just thaw them out and roll then in corn meal and fry till golden brown.....Give it a try.
