Have you ever seen this on a MinnKota Terrova ??

I have started seeing what looks like rust or corrosion popping up on my Minn Kota Terrova 101. I cleaned it all off a few weeks ago and repainted the foot but now it is even worse than before !! I bought the motor from a CDC member and I dont know if he ever had it in saltwater, but there is something going on that I have never seen. Any ideas of what is going on ??

I would say it is salt water corrison myself

probably got salwater in the housing,

I would contact the member you got it from and verify that is has been in salt water.

Sat , I wish I could remember his name or handle. He had a big yellow aluminum boat and he has a auto body shop in olive branch.

Salt water or it could have a ground problem. If it's searching for a ground it can also cause that kind of corrosion. But it looks more like salt.

Slabo looks like salt residue in the foot...may have to be taken apart and cleaned. Call mk and see what they tell you.
