According to the Louisville District Lake Level Report ... it's ~11ft over Summer Pool, as of this morning, and VERY slowly falling. According to the chart, it appears to have received almost 7" of rain so far this month ... and is only now beginning to recede, due to no recent additional rain.

Taylorsville is essentially closed ... due to high water (16' over), plus the algae bloom infestation.
Herrington is about 10ft higher than normal.
Cave Run is edging towards 5ft over Summer Pool.
Nolin/Barren/Rough are all up, between 5-10' over Pool.
Considering all that .... I'd seriously consider going to Cedar Creek Lake & taking my chances. Or else going to Green or Herrington & fishing around the boat/marina docks (day or night).

Just be careful, lot of stuff floating..... Bass are in the grass....... It is hard to put in at Holmes bend in parking lot........
I couldn't launch at Lone Valley, turned around and locked the boat back up. Ill fish the farm ponds later in the week when this next line of storms passes by. Downstream waters will have to recede before the Corps pulls the plug.
Thanks. May have to rethink it. It's about a 2.5 hour drive.
I would rethink it and I live within a half hour of the lake and looking elsewhere. We're sitting ten feet above summer pool with another line of precipitation that has just passed through. The Corps has started pulling the lake earlier than I thought they would so hopefully in a week we'll be good to go. Holmes Bend should be good to launch and Ramp One if they keep it open during the high water as both of these have long straight ramps.
I think I'm heading to Alabama this week until this water level gets stabilized.
It has rain at my house this afternoon a down pour. I live the head of Casey ck and it it way up again.
Thanks again. I think I'll just head to Williamstown lake and maybe catch a few. Just wan't to get on the water and fish. I swear I was beside my boat the other day and thuoght i heard somebody crying and I was all by myself?!
