Any tips for someone who's gonna give it a try for the first time this afternoon?

Get you a bunch of minners and spiderrig the river channel .should catch all the 8in you want.

What Jerry said, but you should be able to catch enuff to stink a skillet.

Better get some Spankys , Jerry (MEATGETTER) and I use them with good success on Nimrod.

Whether it's a jighead or tubejig, Pink is a good producer here on Nimrod. Pink/Chart. is my favorite but Pink/White is great also.

Thanks man. We used straight minnows Saturday but I think I'm going to hit it again this weekend and I will keep that in mind.
