Girl friends bought!

Girl friends son bought a 2002 F-150 and I did a total rebuild of the braking system. I had to replace 2 rotors that had been cut down to about 1/8th" by the backing plate,2 seals blown on the front, seal blown on the back, Piston extended so far that the pad backing was touching each other.What's weird is that the left side had quite a bit of wear but still had some pad and the rotors weren't damaged at all. Yall got any ideas as to why so much wear on 1 side and not the other?That sucker will stop on a dime. Took about $300 in parts.He is gonna owe me a steak dinner!

You push in on the brake pedal that goes to the master cylinder. It applies pressure to the abs control valve and distributing valves. If the abs control valve goes bad you will lock the brakes up instead of an even stop. One distributing valve for the back and front axles. Nascar drivers can lock out the rear wheels, all brake pressure goes to the front wheels for a burnout when they win. Each distributing valve controls the pressure to the left and right wheel.
Say your car goes about 50,000 miles and you hear the clicker for low pads. Left side pads are worn out, right side pads look almost new. You change both sides. Another 50,000 miles and the pads are the same as before. That axle distributing valve is out of adjustment. It's easier to replace it than adjust it.

Yep

Probably the caliper on that side isn't releasing properly.
