So I apparently ran the tin boat a little too hard at Pickwick and I've knocked my livewell loose. When I open the lid it's sitting about an inch low...rattling around in the box it sits in. All the rivets busted loose from the lip from which it is supposed to hang. I'm thinking of re-doing the rivets and having it welded all around...what would you do???? Also, who can weld aluminum in the Oxford area? Thanks in advance guys....
Stick with the rivets. They give a little with the bouncing. Weld won't give but it will crack. Beside, rivets are a lot cheaper.
Put you some bolts in it ,
pop rivets....you only have to get to one side to put them in....very easy
Can you get rivets in stainless steel or are they all aluminum? Ain't riveted much!
Any idea where to get pop rivets? Do you need an applicator or just a hammer? Thanks for the advice guys!Quote:

Re-rivitting back is not an issue and easy but I would go to fastenall or somewhere and get some commercial grade if it were me.
