WOW you did a fantastic job again definitely like this one. with COLOR of powder paint are you using on the head . it looks like Ruby but it has black in it.
Thisn's my fav of the three. I just don't use much red much unless its accents as blood traces. But the vein under the candy is really cool. Remember you having the candy orange and that'd be cool to see over the copper or gold vein as a head color. You tie really great jigs and I like their profile.
Double "WOW"WOW"!!!! Nice!!!!
Snake, you may already know this but the trick I discovered (thanks to a buddy) about Gold Vein especially, is to heat the head a bit more than usual, dip and then pass over the heat source repeatedly till the veining becomes pronounced. Let the head cool some (some guys will cure the base coat then re-heat for the top coat) then dip in the candy. Heat to smooth and then cure. This has given me great results, especially with the Candy Orange & Candy Lime Green.
pepop I wish they would make more vein colors I think it is neat stuff to work with I did not know the information that you give I have not tried any of this yet so we are dying to get downstairs and work with it I do also how silver vein and I believe I also have green I have so many different powder paints I can't keep track of what I do have any more I have close to over 50 pounds of the stuff do you think I'll ever tie that many jigs I am a collector of powder paint I am definitely hooked on the stuff and it is fun to work with they come out with new colors or combinations all the time it's like a kid in a candy store when I do get on the powder paint sites Columbia casting is one of my favorite spots we do get updates constantly from them and her are so many more new ones that the guys will post on here some of the blues and greens are terrific there, now with I do like candy red real well it's pretty close to Ruby slipper without the glitter in it could be added to it this one looks terrific on gold I will be working with some jig inserts with that color to see what I can come up with I truly would love to have some jig inserts played it in gold and silver I think they would be awesome with the candy colors we have so many different styles of jig heads I do not work with a lot of them and I have them incur on down to 100oz. which is very small we only tied these four brim we are headed down to my tying room this morning to work on jig inserts to post on my site I think they are awesome to work with and they do look good tied up I also make one other style by wrapping thread and making it tapered from the head back and getting it into powder paint you have to be careful not to overheat the thread we use a heat gun to do most of my work with powder paint sometimes I will use vinyl paint to do the thread job these are just ideals that you guys can try if you get a chance jig tying is a art form you have to be creative and come up with new ideals there are some of the world's best jig tying guys on here and we enjoy seeing different post on your guys jigs.
