I went to the shallows last week in order to try some bream fishing. Fount bed after bed but no fish anywhere around them. what dictates when they will be back on the beds again......assuming they will use the same ones.:dono

It's always been my understanding that Bluegill will spawn around the full moon period, from May until August (in the 65-80deg water temps).
This coming weekend is a Full Moon weekend ... and, in fact, will be the largest & closest full moon (Super Moon) of 2013. And, luckily, the Moon will be "up" during the night, rather than in the sky with the Sun (which, in my experience, means better fishing). Here's when it will come up/go down (on Sunday June 23rd): Sun and Moon Data for One Day

I had the same problem last weekend, a buddy went Sat. and said they were loaded but wouldn't bite. I went Sun and they were empty. There was a bad storm Sat night that could of drove them off. I have no idea.
I went out Wednesday and kept a dozen big gills. They were hitting everything we through at them at Rough.
The moon has a lot to do with it.
the spawned out fish do not get back on the bed . the numbers will get less and less each full moon .:scratchhead
