Milford Newby looking for any advice

Heading to Milford for the first time tomorrow or the next for 2 days. Never fished it and going blind. Used to fishing smaller community lakes in Northeast Kansas (live 3 miles from Kansas) pretty much a large reservoir rookie and thought we would drag some jigs and crawlers and troll some cranks. Any tips or advice would be great! look for a red and white Skeeter with Yamahas and a kicker mtr. I'll have my Grand son with me , Be there Tuesday

Struggled today catching small wipers, whites, and catfish in the late afternoon, evening.
Girlfriend and I are in a 16 ft maroon and silver crestliner with a suzuki on back.

When fishing for large wipers I like to use large baits, if i'm targeting wipers I will troll with a 1 oz jig head and 6" paddle tail swim baits(sassy shads), Also done real good using rattletraps while trolling for whites and wipers, as far as walleye go I have gone out quite a few times trying to target them and have yet managed to catch an incidental one while fishing for something else so I don't have any advice for them. Smallmouth can be good fishing along the rocky bank over by Rebecca Road, and there along the NW edge of the city of Milford.

my grandson 13 years old hung a 25" walleye to go with 2 20" and a 22" walleye he said he was happy happy happy. I have owned most all models of skeeters. I am running my second 1775 with the 8 horse kicker it handles big water great.
