Rosey's Powder coating

I have been talking with them and I wanted to spread the word that they need our input.

The have a sampler pack where you get to choose 10 colors from a list of paints in 2 ounce bottles. They need feedback on why you would or wouldn't buy paint this way. My suggesiton was to offer all their paints in jars or even bagged so that we have a full range of choices. But they ened to see the interest to make it worth their while.

They also asked me about offering a line of liquid paints and fast dry paints. Again, they need feedback from us to make it worth while for them to do this.

I did suggets that they get all of thier paints on jig heads to show how they look for us. More people asking for this would help a lot.

I also want to add this: I am not being compensated from them as of yet for anything I am doing. I don't know if that will ever happen but if it does I will make sure that I pass on some to the forum in whatever form I can.

That's $4.90 a bottle compared to $6.60 for CSI from Do-itmolds. If the selection is what is not desirable let them know. If we want to be able to order a couple colors and not 10, let them know. If ordering it in a bag is acceptable, if we want to be able to order any amount and anything else we can think of let them know.

Or let me know and I will let them know.

I have also suggested:
Pre-Cut out patterns in high temp tape
A more flexible high temp tape that will work on jig heads better
Carrying glitter for sale
A better quality liquid paint especially in transparent colors

I have never tried any of their paints before so I really don't know what to think so if any of you have tried this paint and also tried Pro-Tec powder, it would help myself and would think others that don't know anything about their paint!

Almost everything I have is from them and I love it. Ask them for samples, can't hurt to try.

Skip I just went through their site they have quite a few different colors that look really interesting I have not tried this company yet but I may or are some of the powders fairly cheap per pound I did like the lollipop red at really look good to me and they did have some other green that I haven't seen before will let you guys know if I get some to try their website is very well put everything is displayed good. far is color charts go.

Alot of the jigs Pepop is posting and the paint jobs are from Rosy's paint. He has a chart with the colors as they come out on a jig. Alot of the RAL and basic colors are the same between Rosy's and Columbia. I haven't found a match for June Bug yet though.

I can attest to the quality of their product. I do have a few Columbia Coating's powder's as well as ProTec from TJ's and some from Crazy Angler. Rosey's powder is without a doubt some of the finest I've used.

I need to look through another one I know of that is much less costly, but can't buy small sizes.

They look pretty good Pepop, but do they cure and hold up as well as CSI? I am thinking it's all the same stuff?

I bounce my jigs of concrete bridge column's frequently, not to mention standing timber & dock posts and I haven't had a head chip yet. I cure all my Rosey's at 350 for 15 min and get excellent results. You may be right Skip, all the powder on the market may come from the same manufacturer, who knows. I know Rosey's put the 10-2oz jar- "Build Your Own" kit together primarily for us and I for one will be happy to give them whatever feedback I can to aid in their R&D so MORE and varied opportunities are created for jig painter's/tier's. Skip - I've got the Raspberry and Teal translucent from Columbia and they are excellent.

I also STUPID ME!! bought the Dormant color sampler from them without reading the whole description it's a 2 part cure.
In the jars you see color - BUT!! when you dip them they look silver. You have to cure for 10 mins then pull them out and dip in the clear then finish curing to get the true color!! I didn't want to wait and dipped the color used the heat gun then dipped clear and then regular cure. They came out really good but, I'm going to have to try the 2 part cure - as the Hunter green came out darker than the photo they show and that's what I really want!!! If the wife has to work this weekend I'll maybe try to do some but it's actually supposed to be nice and I'll go fishing instead!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds a lot like that illusion paint stuff except with that you have to go really hot for 20 minutes on the base.
