Grandkids first fish of the year

Took the grand kids out for about an hour on Saturday. Overall it was a little slow, but we did manage one 13+ white from the bank at Smithville Lake. They were more interested in playing with the minnows until we hooked into this one.Attachment 127807
I haven't really gotten to take Zach the 4 yr old out much, but Lizzy I have always told that she needs to kiss the first fish of the year for good luck the rest of the year.
Attachment 127808Somewhere down the line, they may figure out that they are just suppose to fake kiss it. Until then, its pretty funny listening to how "nasty the fish taste".
Only until they hit the frying pan, is what I tell them.

Great story. Next trip take a photo with something Crappie .com and the kids with their fish. They just might win some cool stuff.

I am going to try to take them out again this weekend (weather permitting), so I will try to do that.
