Overcup report 06-03-13

Went to Overcup today lake is falling some some stumps are showing. We caught 6 good keepers all 1.5 or better 2 big drum and one big white bass small shad were abdunant . We saw one big crappie come clear out of the water chasing shad.No we did not load the tailgate but had a good time and did not have to put up with skiers or boats wakes bouncing us all over the lake. We caught most in 10 ft. water on white/char slider jigs casting and slow rolling beats the heck out of work. Good fishing KS

Thanks for the report. Haven't been to overcup in a couple of years.

Not bad for most reports I been hearing with floods and now Bluebirds skies!:highfive

That's some good fishing right there. I like quality over quantity on most days and Overcup does seem to have that. Sounds like you had a great trip and I agree that not having to put up with a lot of boat wake is definetly worth something. If I lived closer, I'd be in Overcup quite a bit.
