Great day on Lake Dardanelle!!

Attachment 127172Dad and I had a great morning today fishing lake Dardanelle!! Attachment 127171we fished In 8-12 ft of water 6-8 ft deep using pink 1/8 Rockport Rattler jig heads with lake fork baby shad chart/glow tipped with a minnow we also used double minnow rigs and fished brush piles very slow but when you found a active pile you would really whack em!! We fished from 7-11am and used a full pound of minnows so we had to pack up and go home we tried straight jigs tipped with a nibble but no luck so we gave it up! If the bite stays like this until after Saturday we should have a great weigh in for the CACA tourney on Saturday!!!

That's some great fish. Carol and I had good luck with the glow jigs on Dardanelle. Came back home and tried them and it was a bust. Sure would like to be fishing over there.

That's some good fish Jason. Glad you and your dad caught some fish. I'm jealous of you guys that get to fish Dardanelle as much as you do. Friday won't get here fast enough!!
