Bluegill Readear ?
I was out yesterday on the Full moon,We picked up a few but not on beds. Water temp was 65, Its gonna be warm all week here in the80s so they say. My question is will they wait till the New Moon in June or will they bed whenever the water temp gets up. Or will they only spawn on a Full Moon? I know moon phases matter but im no expert. Any ideas?

Low 70's water temp is probably the best. If that happened to fall on the last week or two before full moon, even better.

It's always better a few days before and after a full moon, they can still be caught on beds regardless of the moon phase though.

That is when the females actually move up on the beds during a full and new moon! Those males are hard at work all the time getting things ready for the big date! The females will stage out away from the beds a little deeper until the time is right. If you fish clear water the beds will usually extend out deeper so start fishing deeper away from the beds and work your way in!
