Don't Fret over Conway
There is still plenty of water in most of the creek channels such as Caney, Gold, Palarm. As a matter of fact I have caught quite a few crappie out of Caney as of late. I can't seem to get them to bite on jigs, however medium sized minnows are doing the trick. Funny part being the water is still rather warm and they are hitting the minnows 2 feet down from the bobber is about 5-6 foot of water. So as I said in the hedder Conway is still viable. I don't know how the spawn is going to do. I would expect the fishing to be rather terrrible when they put water back in for about a year or so. Ya never know though. The crappie I have been catching range around 9-11 inches. No slabs as of yet.

That's been my experience too Coats80....I fished Adams Lake area Saturday and got one keeper bite actually in the old lake bed, but picked up a few more after getting out in the stumps. Like you mentioned the fish I caught were about 2 ft deep in 4 ft water.....Caught them on jigs tiped with minnows...It was the first outing of the "Fall" for me....Caught enough for the family to have a fresh mess for supper.....It should just get better over the next few weeks based of the weather forcast. :D ....It's been a long hot summer and I'm ready!!!
