Any of you F&F owners have a ladder on the transom of

your boat ? Thinking seriously about putting one on mine since I do a lot of fishing by myself and don't have that spring in the step I once did :) been reading some and cant really decide what to go with. I like the 3 step fold up but looks like it might rattle while moving. I think its "Garelick" that has one that mounts to the motor mount and is just a 2 step but not sure what I wanna do. Of course the least amount of holes I have to put in the transom the better. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I had the same thoughts last year, keep one thing in mind that usually the ladder is Up, therefore if you fall in the water how u gonna get it down to climb in the boat---- just saying if u come up with a plan let me know

Attachment 125443The ones I have been looking at mount on the outside of the boat transom, you would just reach and release the steps and the would fall down for you to climb up on or that's the way I think it works lol

I like the fold down one on reesguids boat, sure does make getting back in the boat easy

You would have to have a 20' extension ladder for KDavid...:Rofl

ATM E-ladders look cool but they are very very difficult to actually use. Luckily I tried mine under perfect Summer conditions and realized very quickly I would have drowned if I had been in full Winter gear in freezing cold water. The problem is they are short so you have to be able to pull your leg up to your chest and push up from that position while you look for something to grab onto with your hands. Can be done in shorts but probably not in full winter gear because of all the extra bulk. Just my 2 cents....
