4 day run
When you hot, you hot, when you not you not. And the brown fishes was hot. Four days in a row. Now two inches of rain we just got will ruin our bite. Fished Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sun. Friday was the best day, the last hour before dark two of us pulled in at least 50 nice fat mean smallmouth. Biggest one was over 4 pounds and almost 20 inches. Days like these are as good as it gets. Hate to see them end. They hit about anything we threw, when the bite got slow we changed colors or type. In 4 days we caught almost 200 of em. Muddy water now, guess we'll have to crappie fish..............here's a shot of the big one, not quite citation but we seen some that were. Had a musky bite a fluke in half right beside the boat, now that will make your heart jump. My fingers are crossed that the creek don't rise too much................

Wow, reading that gets the heart pumping.. I was going to peek out on Rapp river to look for some rockfish, but water is dirty..( and rock are sight feeders)

Got to get up that way for some smallies I grew up catching those all the time in TN

That was a great 4 days, nice going and thanks for the report.

Sounds like a blast. Nothing pulls and jumps like a smallmouth.

Nice fish. I like catching smallmouth. Aggressive, strong and they love to jump... what could be better?

The river only came up 12 feet exactly where we were fishing. Looks like chocolate milk now. Take about 10 days to get back, maybe if it stays cool enough they won't finish spawning but I expect our 50 big fish days will be done. Have to wait and see. Look out Richmond and the lower James, its coming your way. I reckon its back to Briery this weekend, it usually stays pretty clean there at least on the dam end.
