If A Saulters pole should wind up in the water, it does Float, The reel is on the pole ,is not expensive but have lasted on my brothers poles for 30 yrs. My Brothers complaint is the first guide is too close to the reel. I believe as a custom pole one of the small stainless guides could be removed to give more space, when fishing deep.
I have been very pleased with JB salter's jig poles. I have a new one and an older one too. They are very nice poles
Where can a person find a salter pole?
I have heard the sam heaton pole was good. Prolly gonna be my next pole.
Don't the Sam heatons have the bottom mount reels? BTW, I've never used one of those. Are they nice?
Hey Homercrappie. Most of mine and the wife's poles are B & M, however, she does have one Lews Solo pole and likes it. Its very sensitive but appears to have a strong backbone. Hopes this helps :)
