My old trolling motor acted like it is going south on me. It had no umph with charged batteries yesterday. Am asking what is a good fairly reasonable trolling motor? I can't afford the remote ones or such but just a good one to get around. I have a 18' charger bass boat....thanks Lonnie
12 or 24v? How many pounds thrust are we talking?
sorry left out some info....24volt and right now I have 51lbs of thrust thinking a little more wouldn't hurt
Ragnar has 1 for sale on the Ks. sale or trade.55 LBS I think?
Also what's your price range? Need an idea of where to start looking.

Not sure what brand you prefer but MinnKota right now has a rebate. I bought a cheap transom mount 30 pound thrust trolling motor and getting $20 rebate from Academy

I've always felt that is best to buy the biggest one can afford. It's better to have more than you need than not have enough.
