Decided to try BM for a couple of hours this morning since I had to go to Smithfield to do some corn & sunflower planting later in the day. Should have skipped the fishing and just worked. Close to a skunk as you can get. One crappie that was maybe 10" just before I decided to quit. Caught 3 bass (all were small) and one perch. Where I was catching shellcrackers and crappie last week.......NADA bite! When they disappear on me, they are really gone.

It is simply amazing, when the temps were in the 80's it was hot and heavy action all day. Since the cold snap, they just vanished!
Agreed, It has to be this up and down weather messing with them..
I am surprised to see how bad fishing has been there lately. What the heck?
During the last 3 trips I made there (late Mar - present) it has been difficult for me to find fish. I think this time last year we were catching 70 - over 100, 9" crappie. I don't think we caught them all. I was expecting to catch 70 - 100, 10" fish this year.
