Grey eggs
Helped a neighbor clean fish today here on lake Washington. A couple were absorbing thier eggs. My sister is a fisheries biologist and told me this happens to some fish every year but springs like this will make it happen in more fish than normal. She says there shouldn't be a noticeable decline in the years to come from this only occurring once in a while as long as multiple years don't happen back to back. Just thought I would pass along the thoughts of an expert that I have a lot of faith in. Just FYI

Thanks ken I will be down some time tomorrow for a few day before heading to enid.

That's interesting Ken. The last mess of crappie I cleaned from Okatibbee had already laid their eggs but none of them had any gray eggs. I think we had a good spawn over here.

Good deal. Thanks for helping out Hank with the fishing advice for your home lake. They wouldn't have caught many on straight minnows. He had a great day thanks to you!
