I know I don't sound very positive but I'm being as honest as possible. We fished top water, spinnerbait, wacky rig soft plastic stick baits, and C-rigs but none of that worked. Our good lakes we've found a few fish in our travels were Monticello, Columbia, a few on the lower arm of White Oak which was drained recently so I'm sure it's a bust for a few years. We never crappie fished any of these waters though but they all seem to have plenty of brush. I have crappie fished White Oak though...spent a whole day there and never boated a crappie. If your up near Atkins I'd say the better bet for crappie would be Conway or Dardanelle. I do wish yall luck though and maybe yall can get em to bite something we didn't try.
