I cannot get steering cable off of motor. I unscrewed it from the motor but it will not pull out. Shouldn't it pull out or am I doing something wrong? If it's stuck is it ok to tap it hard to break it free? Thanks for the help.

Yep, likely crude inside. I would spray some Kano Kroil inside the tube (from both ends)and let it sit a bit, with a little tapping on the end it should break right free.
Squirt some ATF or PB Blaster penetrating oil and let it sit. Then you may have to convince it a bit with a light hammer tap.
Hey, Dutck552 I went to my car mech. today and got that PB Blaster. Guess what it didn't work and my mech was shocked! I sprayed it 4 or 5 times and each time i would let it sit for a few minutes. I'm going back out there and try again. Thank you both for your help.
The Kano Kroil blows away PB Blaster. I used google to find it, try it you'll see. I bought 2 cans and I can tell you from personal experience this stuff is fantastic. I've used it to get "frozen" brake drums off my truck.Quote:

PB blaster is absolutely '1' of the best there is. But theres a catch.
It takes any, and I mean any product more then a "few minutes".
You have to give a product TIME to work.
