So it's in the lake now?
I heard they saved some turtles that had oil on them.
According to the 5 o'clock news they are still claiming that the lake has not been compromised, however they were doing a lot of work on the north side of highway 89 and everyone had a white tyvek suit on.
According to the results of the water quality testing that they have been collecting, the lake is still non-contaminated. I have directed the ADEQ to step up their testing and they have agreed. The extra booms that you saw North of Highway 89 were set just as a precaution. If there was any indication that the water that is being pumped over highway 89 was contaminated, that would have to cease pumping opperations into the lake.
D10 thanks for the info, it helps ease people's mind to hear from a reliable source, a source that's just as concerned about the oil as we the fisherman are. To the oil companies it's just another oil spill, to citizen of the natural state like us it's a major ordeal.
Thanks for the info, D10!

Even though Lake Maumelle is wasted with a "No brush pile" clause, I am glad we have members of the AGFC involved on C.COM.

Why will they not let the choppers fly?
