1962-72 evinrude 1.5 mate outboard and johnson 6hp seahorse motor help
i have a 1962 or 72 1.5hp evinrude mate that wont fire no matter what i do. iv taken it apart and cleaned every thing. replaced the spark plugs,cleaned fuel line and tank, cleaned carborator,new lower unit oil. lubricated it and used sea-foam even. does anybody have any idea on how to fix it or get it to start? i also have a 6hp johnson sea horse motor. dont know what year it is but it has a black handle. my dad had it in our shed for i dont know how many years and we had to use the gas tank on our other 10hp seahorse motor. we have no time to pick up the fuel tank and i was wondering if there was any alternatives to the real fuel tank that i could use for the time being. its as clean as a whistle on the inside though.
