We have received about 3'' of rain in the last 8 hrs, so certain parts of the lake will be muddy and it has been high ever since November. I've heard reports that they are still catching a few in the gravel pits, Connerly Bayou (muddy) and in Toehead Chute. They ought to start moving out in the lake around the cypress trees by late next week but that's just my opinion.
Just got back from there. Water temp 56 to 59. We could could catch some in afternoons but very slow in the morning. Most were males 3 to 4 foot deep in 4 to 5 foot of water.Fish should be moving up reel soon. Good luck.
Wish I could remember who it was last spring at camp that found a "secret" group of cypress knees that seemed to breed fish. Was down on the south end if I recall. Good luck at any rate.
Don't know about Chicot but i've heard good reports out of Grand Lake in the last week or so

Hope they are moving to the cypress next week. Heading there Sunday for a week. If they are not ready Grand Lake aint far.

If ya boating on Chicot just heads up on the Asian carp. The same guys that found fish also found carp the hard way.
Drive about another 30 minutes south to lake washington in Mississippi , fish the cypress trees ,it's got to be on there, you wont be disappointed!!! Awesome lake, by the way a 3 day none resident license is $18.50, good luck
