since im stuck at school all day with no ride in between classes after my jeep failed me, i have been doing some research on pulling cranks trying to learn new techniques with it. so my question is which do yall prefer, pulling cranks out the back or the side of the boat? my old boat i had a rail down the side and pulled them from the side, but with the new bigger war eagle with the back deck I was thinking of setting it up to pull from the back. what is yall's favorite way?

When I fished with torch, I liked his setup on the back a lot better than Mine on the side. We would fish 8 poles out the back and push 4 poles up front.
on grizzly jig they have the 4 ft trolling racks that go on the back of the boat. is this what he used? and also do you need to use the shorter poles in the middle if pulling 6. say maybe two 8 fts in the middle then maybe 12s outside of them and two 16's outside of them?

Off the sides in my boat, off the back in Scotts. Kind of liked the back better.
I tried pulling off the sides....I pull off the back now.....same set up as ScottV....I like that better
He was using hitek holders, google hitekstuff.com, has a lot of nice racks resonable. I just bought two of EZ's Spyder Lok Racks, they are a little more adjustable and have a great lockdown system. There is a thread on the sponsors area with pics and ordering for Spyder Lok, a little more than HiTek, but should be perfect for pulling out the side or pushing cranks.
