I figure it would cost more to get it fixed then its worth so what so you do with old vehicles like that?
Find a cheap used motor at the junkyard and get er running again.
What model/year?
96 jeep grand cherokee
Sell it on Craigslist as as off-road project. I wouldn't fool with cost/time of motor swapping, but someone else might want a thrash-wagon, or need parts. Figure scrap price, and add $200 to it as selling price if there's lots of good/usable parts on it (glass, wheels, body parts, interior, axles, wiring harness, etc).
Did you blow a head gasket or what?Fairly easy fix! What exactly is wrong with the motor?Jump time?
It just started knocking and temp gauge ran over to hott all of a sudden. Guess I ran it hot and blew it before I knew it
a lot of folks need the parts off of the older jeeps like yours...don't scrap it...sell it piece by piece if ya have to. :ThumbsUp
